We would like to introduce ourselves and let you know we are always available to answer any questions regarding Stars criteria or assist you in applying for Stars or increasing your Star level.
Reaching for the Stars is the name of Oklahoma’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS). Oklahoma was the first state in the nation to implement a QRIS. Our goals are for every provider to Reach for the Stars, grow professionally, and be recognized for their accomplishments, for parents and the public to recognize and value quality practices, and for all of Oklahoma’s children to benefit from the highest quality early childhood experiences.

The Pyramid Model for Promoting Social-Emotional Competence
What do teachers report as their #1 training need? If you answered challenging behavior, we are excited to let you know about some amazing new training that is being offered to all child care providers for FREE. The Pyramid Model (PM) training is now available on the Statewide Training Calendar. There are 3 different age groups: Infant Toddler, Birth-5, and Preschool. There are Modules 1 and 2 for each age group and Module 3 is the same for all three age groups. Type “Pyramid” in the course title search on the Statewide Training Calendar link below to locate the Modules. We encourage you to take advantage of this free quality training.
The Pyramid Model is a framework for promoting social and emotional competence for ALL children and effectively addresses challenging behavior. To find out more about the PM click on the link below to watch a short overview video.
Don’t forget we are always available and committed to help you achieve the highest quality care for Oklahoma’s children.
Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication.
