Meet the NE Resource & Referral Team!

Tina McClintic, NE Resource & Referral Specialist and Manager

My name is Tina McClintic, and I am the new Resource and Referral Specialist and manager for your county. I would love to get to know you, to partner with you, and to help meet your training needs as well as to provide

any technical assistance. Some of the specifics of what I can offer you are necessary trainings like Infant Safe Sleep, CPR and First Aid, assistance with increasing your STARS rating, and resources to strengthen the quality of care provided to the children and families you serve. Over the next couple of months, I look forward to dropping by your facility to introduce myself and begin the process of partnership.

The work you do each day is so important and meaningful, and I am passionate about supporting you in practical and helpful ways. If there is anything I can do for you before we meet in person, please feel free to use the contact information listed below to reach out to me.

I have adopted my own philosophy - that families are the first teachers and are the link between the educational setting and home. I believe that when parents are engaged in their child’s education, parents and teachers can work as a team to supply consistency in the development of their child.

Have a wonderful day!

Courtney Garringer, NE Resource & Referral Specialist

Hi, my name is Courtney Garringer. I have been working with families and their children for several years in various roles. Most recently, I was a Pre-K Master Teacher, working hard to help children meet milestones, deal with their emotions in healthy ways, and partnering with parents to maximize results. I am passionate about understanding the perspective of others and helping them access the resources they need to succeed in all the various aspects of life - personal, family, professional, and creative. I received my Bachelors in Family and Human Services, so I know that the biggest impacts happen when a whole family is included. In my new role as a Resource and Referral Specialist, I can’t wait to use my expertise in trauma, child development, and behaviors to partner with providers to influence the childcare workers, the children, and their families.

Lana Busey Pitts, NE Infant & Toddler Specialist

My name is Lana, and I am the Infant Toddler Specialist for Northeast Oklahoma. I am here to help you with your immediate needs as a provider, whether that is needing resources, lending an ear for support when there are days you just need to vent, or trainings in safe sleep, conscious discipline, pyramid model, or whatever else that comes up that you would like more knowledge about. I just need fifteen minutes of your time once a month, maybe twice depending on your needs.

I have been in the Early Childhood field for 30 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Science - Emphasis in Early Childhood Development. I have worked as a master teacher, child advocate and sexual assault advocate, case manager, and home visitor for 18 years. My mother, known as Grandma Shirley, had a home child care for 45 years. Saying this, I want you all to know that when I lost her two years ago, at her funeral when asked if Grandma Shirley raised them in her child care center, more than half of the people stood up. You are making a difference and an impact on these little lives; and when you die, how amazing to know the memories and love you left behind, and how they will come and share their stories and priceless memories of you.

Thank you for letting me stop by, and please email or call me if you need anything.
