Spotting Potential:
A Vision Screening Success

Our Impact:

Empowering teachers with tools and confidence to identify needs early and partner with families in solutions.

During a routine visit, one teacher expressed concern about a child’s vision. With support from Ivy Learning’s screening resources, she was encouraged to offer screenings to all families, helping avoid singling out any child.

While the original concern proved unfounded, the process revealed an unexpected need in another child—a vision anomaly that led to a diagnosis of amblyopia (“lazy eye”). Thanks to the teacher’s openness and the family’s quick follow-up, that child is now receiving treatment and improving her sight.

VOICES FROM PROVIDERS

What Our Partners and Providers Are Saying

The best measure of our impact comes from the voices of those we serve. These reflections from providers and partners show how connection, encouragement, and practical support make a lasting difference.

Resource and Referral has been a tremendous help in supporting my child care program. The trainings are always engaging, the presenters make sure we understand every concept, and the resources are invaluable. I always leave inspired and better equipped for my work.
