Hello again from T1,
Last month we focused on weather and identifying all the seasons. We learned some new songs about fall, studied all the different colors of the leaves, and learned that when it is cold, we need to wear our jackets to stay warm.
I added new sensory items to our sensory bin for them to explore, such as colored paper, leaves, pinecones, tongs, etc. The children also did a lot of art, painting on leaves, and making leaf prints out of real leaves.
For the month of November, we will focus on Early Learning Guidelines Standard 4: “the child participates in activities requiring the development of self-help skills”. This includes teaching the child how to use utensils while eating, beginning to wash their hands with little help, getting familiar with wiping their noses, or asking for help when needed. The child will also learn where their belongings go and how to identify them by giving them the language they need to achieve these skills.
As always, we will be sending home activities to help further the learning experience. We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
Sincerely,
Ms. Anita and Ms. Regan
