Hello, Everyone!
The Preschool classroom wrapped up learning about all the “centers” in our room a couple of weeks ago. As a result, the class seems to have a much better idea about where the toys go and how to use them. A better understanding of the environment has given them a sense of mastery and control. In addition, the preschool classroom has been working hard on solidifying class bonds and teamwork. One example is our new class chant, which is listed below. The children have enjoyed clapping their hands to the beat and belting out the words. This rhythm helps bring the class, teachers included, back to a more unified condition when the room starts to feel chaotic.
During October, we spent time learning about trees. We will continue to learn about foliage into November. We have only scratched the surface of all there is to learn. So far, the children have expressed much interest in trees and have begun to ask questions, pose theories, and seek out answers. Some of the questions they have been wondering about are as follows: How many leaves are on a tree? Why do trees have holes? What does bark do?
As we begin taking field trips, we will look for the answers to these questions through careful observation and by encouraging their minds to think critically.
Class Chant:
We are Preschool
We learn lots and we are cool
We have no stress
Because we are here to do our best!
Thank you for entrusting your children to us!
Ms. Courtney & Ms. Becca
