Share Your Story: Help Improve Services for Young Children with Disabilities in Oklahoma

Updated: Jun 11

Are you a parent of a young child with a developmental delay or disability? Did your concerns begin when your child was an infant or toddler? If so, your story could make a meaningful difference.

A new study is seeking parents in Oklahoma to share their experiences accessing early intervention services like SoonerStart. By participating, you’ll help researchers better understand how families navigate these systems—and how they can be improved for others.

Why Your Voice Matters

Early intervention can be life-changing, but not all families find it easy to access the support they need. By sharing your journey, you’ll contribute to a deeper understanding of the challenges and successes families face when seeking help for their children.

Who Can Participate?

You’re invited to take part if:

  • You are a parent or guardian of a child under six years old

  • Your child has a developmental delay or disability

  • You had concerns about your child’s development during infancy or toddlerhood

What’s Involved?

  • A one-hour interview conducted online, by phone, or in person

  • A $60 Visa gift card as a thank-you for your time

  • Complete confidentiality—your name will not be shared

  • Your insights will be used to improve access to services for other families
