Hello from Preschool!
Over the last month our classroom has undergone a minor schedule change to help mitigate restless bodies in the morning time. Rather than going outside later in the morning, we have started going out earlier and working our bodies so that our time inside is more productive. Although the kids were confused by the new schedule at first, we have settled into a much more efficient and effective schedule. The morning outside play has given them an outlet for their energetic bodies so that when we come inside, they can play nicer with their friends, work harder on their writing skills, and participate in circle time.
Our class has recently had some new six-legged visitors join us. We have been learning about the life cycle of ladybugs, and now we get to experience it first-hand. With these new additions to our classroom, we have been discussing how to care for the ladybugs and how to meet their needs. Moving forward, we will be making notes about changes we see in the ladybug’s development, as well as journaling their life cycle in our class journals.
