Ms Michelle's Class - Infants 1

Goodbye, September. Hello, October!

How great has the weather been, right?! We have had so many opportunities to be outdoors this month, and our outdoor area has so many great things to brag about—our sensory gardens, the pull up fence, splash pad, gazebo, beautiful trees, and a new sensory pathway with a rain feature at the end. Each area of our outdoor space has specific learning opportunities for which it was created and is tied into the lesson plans each week. If you have any questions about our outdoor spaces, please feel free to ask!

A few of our infants are going to be turning ONE (oh boy!) very soon! When our infants turn one-year old, they transition to sleeping on a cot and eating at the big table. At about 11 months old, we’ll talk with the parents about how this transition will look. We’ll be asking parents to look over our menus and circle the foods their infant can try to start feeding themselves. This is also a time that we start talking about the plans for bottle weaning, just so we are all on the same page. Always remember, we are here to support you in your efforts to grow happy, healthy individuals.

A few reminders:

With the weather cooling off a bit, please bring a variety of clothing and layers. It tends to be colder in the mornings and warmer in the afternoons. A hoodie and a pair of sweat pants would be best to keep in the cubbies this time of year.

Halloween is coming up! We would like to have parents come join in that day! We will post more information and signup sheets, so be on the lookout!

Love and hugs,

Ms. Michelle, Ms. Stephanie, and Ms. Hayden
