Ms Amanda & Ms Tina's Class - Toddler C

During the month of November, we will be exploring and discovering with cooking. Children learn by touching, tasting, feeling, smelling, and listening. Kitchen activities benefit children because they can use all their senses. Cooking with kids provides a positive experience with many essential skills, such as reading, following directions, and measuring. Allowing your child to assist in cooking helps develop fine motor skills, eye hand coordination, and even early concepts of math and science. Cooking also allows opportunity for growth in their social and emotional development by providing opportunities through peer interaction and positive and secure attachments with adults. We will be enjoying these cooking experiences with Ms. Krisinda’s class in Toddler B. This will allow even more opportunities for bonding with other adults and children.

Cooking with your child is an open opportunity for a wonderful bonding experience between you and your child. I will be sending home the simple recipes we will be making in class, as well as others for you and your child to enjoy and create lasting memories within in your own homes.
