We can’t believe December is already here! November was full of fun getting to see and explore the different weather changes. This month we have explored all kinds of things in the sensory table like dry oatmeal, pine cones, cinnamon sticks, fall leaves, water with bubbles, and rice. The children loved smelling the cinnamon sticks and feeling the rice. We made handprint turkeys for a keepsake for parents, and we also did a leaf rubbing activity where we taped the leaves to the table and put the paper on top. Then the children colored over it with crayons which made the imprint of the leaves appear.
The children have enjoyed being helpers. They help us with so much around the classroom. They help us put the chairs at the table, clean the tables before and after meal times, and clean up spills. It’s so amazing watching them become so independent and taking care of their own needs.
Thank you so much everyone for coming to the parent teacher conference for your child. Also, thank you for coming to the Thanksgiving lunch. We love getting to spend time with all the families.
