Ms Amanda's Class - Toddler C

During the month of July, we will be exploring and discovering with cooking. Children learn by touching, tasting, feeling, smelling, and listening. Kitchen activities benefit children because they can use all their senses. Cooking with kids provides a positive experience with many essential skills such as reading, following directions, and measuring. Allowing your child to assist in cooking helps develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and even early concepts of math and science. Cooking also allows opportunity for growth in their social and emotional development by providing opportunities through peer interaction and positive and secure attachments with adults.

Cooking as a family is an open opportunity for a wonderful bonding experience between you and your child. I will be sending home the simple recipes we will be making in class as well as others for you and your child to enjoy and create lasting memories within your own homes.
