Happy July, Parents!
Is it hot out there or what?! I was ready for hotter weather, but it came out of nowhere very quickly. During our outdoor time, we are doing our part to monitor the weather and making sure to apply sunscreen to the children every day. Also, we make sure that they are drinking lots of water throughout the day to help them stay hydrated!
In June, we talked about the ocean, the beach, and the different kinds of animals that live in these habitats. We did different activities in class using these themes and talked about what people do on the beach. Before Father’s Day, the class honored the men in our life by doing different things for them throughout the week to show our love and support.
This month we are going to take some time to strengthen our fine motor development. The kiddos are going to be doing this by practicing cutting with scissors, lacing beads, using tweezers in the sensory table, putting puzzles together, etc. Throughout the month we are going to be doing different activities that will help to foster and strengthen the children's fine motor development.
As always, thank you for trusting us with your babies every day, and I am so excited to see what new things they will learn.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email me at cfortney@delawarechild.org.
Thank you!
