Greetings from EPS! We certainly hope everyone is doing well and enjoying time with their family. I'm sure your routines are down by now, as we have been busy practicing good hand washing and hygiene here in our classroom. These children are very conscious about healthy eating and keeping hands and faces clean. It's awesome to hear them remind each other about washing up!
We have said hello to new children that have transitioned into our class and said good luck to old friends that have moved up to a different class. We know everyone will do wonderfully!
Now that the Seasons have changed, we are on the hunt for signs of Fall! We have already seen leaves whirling down from the trees! It's amazing how the weather changes so quickly from warm to cool. We have already experienced those unseasonably cool moments in the morning when you may need a sweater. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately, as the afternoon tends to be warm.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you to stay outside with your child as much as possible doing all the fun things you love! Going on a bike ride, reading in the grass, or simply playing at the park. The activities are endless!
As we watch the seasons change to Autumn, we have many books about Leaves and Pumpkins, and I have to say that the favorite book is Pumpkin Pumpkin by author Jeanne Titherington. This book illustrates the step by step process of how to plant, grow, and harvest a pumpkin. It definitely holds the attention of even the youngest future reader, and we love it! Later in the month we will be opening a Pumpkin and exploring the contents. We will examine the seeds and pulp under magnification. On Friday, October 30th, we will enjoy wearing costumes and having a Halloween Party!
Remember, if you drive by and we are outside, honk and wave! Happy Fall!
